Are you responsible for increasing the assets under management for your investment fund?  Want to be able to confidentially post and receive inquiries from a broad group of third party marketing professionals?

Please post your request for a third party marketer here.

You can post your informal request or full RFP for third party marketing firms within this section of the third-party-marketing.com forum.  Please be as detailed as possible in what you are looking for in a 3PM without advertising or pitching your fund to readers of this forum, anything in the gray area will be deleted.

I manage a technical trend following fund across individual stocks and commodities. I launched the fund last december and prior to that spent 6 years at Smith Barney managing discretionary portfolios for high net worth individuals and covering middle market hedge funds. The fund is small with assets from friends, family, and former clients. I'm looking for a marketer who understands the benefits of technical trading / investing and who is willing to work with an emerging manager. Please list your contact details if interested.

Hello,

my firm is a CTA specialized on the global currency market. We trade on an institutional platform and we use 2 pure quant strategies.
We have about 2 years live track record and 3 from back testing.
We are trading on a very liquid market, and we don't pool the fund together which should make it easier for the 3PM. We are currently looking a 3PM that understands needs for diversification and would accept to work with purely commission base (based on AuM).

Very best,

Ryan Hoffmann

Hello, everyone. My name is Christopher Colvin and I am co-founder and managing director of a domestic equity fund. We are an emerging manager with over two years of performance, and we are looking to raise additional assets. I am quite pleased with the fund's performance, particularly over the past year, as market volatility, as well as the volatility of volatility (apologies for such a meta statement), have increased substantially.

If you or your contacts help raise capital for emerging managers, I would love to speak with you.

Best regards,
Chris Colvin

I am replying to your post and wondered whether you maybe interested in monitoring Blackcat Capital Partner's performance over the coming quarters.

Blackcat Capital Partners is a proprietary trading firm, based in London and trades on behalf of it's members using partnership assets.

During 2009 we plan to seek FSA authorisation to allow us to manage investor capital.

We would like to introduce Blackcat Capital Partners to individuals and marketeers who maybe interested in keeping track of our progress and monthly performance returns until we become authorised.

If this may be of interest to either yourself or others please let me know and I can provide you with our newsletter.

Kind Regards,

Matthew

If any 3PMs are interested I currently run a CTA managing about $850K in client assets and $3.5M in proprietary assets.  Client accounts have been traded primarily in options since 2005.  The prop accounts have been traded in a separate strategy in the S&P 500 futures since February 2008.

The futures strategy is counter trend in nature utilizing unique market analysis based on the general idea that we want to be buyers when everyone is frightened and sellers when everyone is euphoric.  The strategy was developed on a random data set from 1/2005 - 6/2005 then walked back to the beginning of 2001 and forward to present.  I would like to test it back further but cannot find intra-day data for the CBOE VXO index past 2001.

The strategy is entirely mechanical in nature.  It uses dynamic position sizing so that in high volatility it will trade fewer contracts with wider stops and in low volatility it will trade more contracts with tighter stops.  On average it trades 20 times per year or 1.6 times a month, though in high volatility it has traded up to 3 times per month.  In real time testing the mini S&P futures are the preferred trading vehicle though with the big S&P futures are a viable extension if size becomes an issue.

If any third party marketers want more info feel free to contact me via e-mail at sbutler@steadfastra.com.

Thanks for taking time to read this lengthy post.

We have developed an investment model, a proprietary system that generates an attractive high yield rate of return. The system can be programmed to trade any market instruments such as Index, Equities, Futures, Currencies, ETFs, Commodities, Basket of Equities and produce similar high yield profitable results in any economic or market conditions and trade successfully in both bull as well as bear markets. We intend to develop multiple models and set up an HF for each offering.

We will utilize this engine/financial model to drive returns on various investment vehicles and offer investors the ability to participate and benefit from this system. Markets rally or crash this system puts a smile on the investors face.

We are interested in talking to Third Party Marketers. Please contact Stan Sakar   email: hdvssa19@hotmail.com

I am in the process of starting up a fund and would like to hear from any 3rd party marketers interested in helping seed the fund.  Out of the gate, barring outside aid such as this, the fund is likely to be a very small friends and family proposition until sufficient track record allows for more aggressive cap raise.  Limited track record comes in the form of published sell-side research.  Send me an email and I will discuss the strategy in detail, but at 30,000 feet, its a stock-picking fund with macro overlay.

I am looking for a third party marketer to raise money for a fund I am starting.  It's not technically a hedge fund per se, but rather a fund that invests in real estate (primarily multi-family, attached units, in distress).  It is structured as an LP more akin to a private equity fund given the illiquid nature of the investments.  For marketing purposes, we are looking for accredited investors.  Fees will be in a 2+20 format.  We will pay commissions to a third party marketer.

I am in Southern California and am seeing a lot of smaller opportunities at 10% Cap rates.  Vacancies are still very low and rents are still rising at a good clip.  Lever that up 4x and you get a very good cash flow yield, not counting appreciation as rents continue to rise and Cap rates decline.

Please email for additional details.

We could entertain one. As I have recently posted, we have a new Real Estate Fund that will be purchasing and making very safe all cash investments along all property types with 60-70% being in the Hotel Industry as our principles are very seasoned and successful hotel management executives and we know we can bring home the bacon.

WE already have our hands on and are involved in several properties - existing and to-be-built- that are as good as you can get. We just want to make somebody or some institution a lot of money.

We are looking for initial capital as well as fund management talent.

Please contact me if you can help with either one.

Asset raising in Europe

Concerned about headcount and payroll?  Wanting to outsource but afraid to lose the commitment of in-house sales force?  Here is how I can help.  I have been introducing asset managers to new markets and new prospects for 12+ years.  I have both the right experience and approach to do the work required to raise assets in the present environment. I have marketed funds from across the whole range of asset classes and strategies, long only and long/short equities, funds of funds, etc., domiciled in the EU, US and offshore.  I have worked for some of the largest global asset managers, both US and UK, as well as specialist companies.  Each time, I started with no legacy business and utilized my client network and contacts to build up sales.  More importantly, with my client and prospect list of over 500 contacts in all major European markets, I offer you direct access to the largest pools of money on the continent.  From cold-calling to multi-country roadshows to negotiating commercial terms, I offer these services with the level of motivation and care you would expect from your best-paid in-house sales executives.
