The Hedge Fund Group now has over 135 members.
Our goal is to develop a flexible group of professionals who want to refer business, provide career advice, point to valuable resources, and attend social/networking functions together. I am open to ideas from others on what other value-adding activities we could all contribute to. One idea has been to put together a PDF directory of hedge fund professionals who are networking friendly since everyone in the industry seems to be pretty close vested and it is sometimes hard to connect with the professionals who could really help move your business or career forward.

12.10.07 Hedge Funds Group Member Count: 196 Reminder: When you join the group please introduce yourself through the Linkedin.com email system. No recruiters will be approved as additional members of the group unless their sole focus is on hedge fund recruiting or they can contribute to the overall knowledge base in some additional way. This is not to make life harder on recruiters, there are just too many staffing companies that do some hedge fund/investment placements here and there and I don't want that to eventually diminish the quality of the Hedge Fund Group members and what each person can add to the whole.

Yes. This is the correct method. If you already a Linkedin.com member simply click on the link above and send me an email introducing yourself and requesting to join the group. I will then approve your membership.
If you are not already a member please go to Linkedin.com and join and then come back here and click on the link above.

Once we grow large enough I will be looking for individuals to lead and help manage networking events in London, Zurich/Geneva, Bejing and Dubai. Let me know if you are one of those people who would like to get involved down the road.
